A 50s Strat in Fiesta Red and gold hardware? You can't help but hear the melody of "Apache", played by Hank Marvin on a guitar just like this! Here we have the iconic model in the noblest possible version, namely as a Masterbuilt by custom store veteran Todd Krause. The already noble appearance of this guitar is crowned here by a beautiful AAAA Birdseye Mapleneck. If you like to revel in the 50s not only visually, but also sonically, you'll really land in seventh Strat heaven here. Built in here are three Handwound Fat 50s singlecoils with the middle pickup in "Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity" wiring for hum suppression. These deliver exactly the juicy twang sound on a clean, loud tube amp that you know and love from Hank Marvin recordings. For Hank's typical playing style, two tremolo arms are included, one short and one long, so you can copy the master's tone and technique in no time. However, the Strat can do much more: Blessed with a lot of attack and percussiveness, it brings on the other hand enough warmth and substance for crunch and even heavily distorted sounds. From super clean to dirty bluesy, the guitar covers it all and always brings its own 50s character. The 10/56-V profile of the neck turned out nice and grippy, and thanks to 9.5" neck radius and 6105 frets, playability leaves nothing to be desired either. Some very small quirks got into the NOS finish here during previous ownership, but they were difficult to capture photographically. However, these ensure that you don't have to be very afraid of loss of value if you play the guitar extensively. Because that's what you want once you have it!
