What a rare luck that we can offer you today a hardtail Strat from top masterbuilder Dale Wilson. We can't remember the last time we had such a rare guitar in our hands. And then such a magnificent specimen: only 2910 grams! This number has to be taken on the tip of your tongue: a Stratocaster with a weight of well under 3 kg. That really doesn't happen very often! In addition, we have here a hardtail with the characteristic advantages. Hardtails are usually not only lighter than tremolo Strats, but you also get an extra portion of sustain, attack and tone due to the direct connection of bridge and body. This reveals an incredible richness of sound that is rarely encountered. Fabulous resonance, lively and yet with great substance - even dry playing here is really fun. And the Tomatillo pickups used, hand-wound by pickup master Josefina Campos with Alnico II magnets that produce the authentic sound of aged Alnico V magnets from the fifties, deliver a great sound: tonally clear and pure with an extra portion of treble chime, warm and smooth, but with a certain sharpness. The great overall package is rounded out with a 9.5" radius, 60-Style Oval C profile, stripped neck back and the tried-and-true 6105 Narrow/Tall frets ensuring the very best playability. Of course, since we're dealing with a Strat made by Dale Wilson, its look is phenomenal as well: classy 2-Tone Sunburst with a relicing that few masterbuilders can pull off. In addition to countless hairline cracks and a super authentic vintage patina Dale knew how to create the significant abrasions in a way that the texture of the wood stands out both visually and haptically. So, we are thrilled to offer you this killer player in mint, virtually unplayed condition.
