With this Strat I had to think of Mark Knopfler of course. Classic 56 Strat in Fiesta Red by Masterbuilder Todd Krause. The Relicing is, like most of Todd Krause's work, rather discreet, but very realistic and authentic. Very well he hit the old Fiesta Red tone here. The body is an assorted lightweight ash body, the maple neck has a rather chunky format with a 10/56 V-shape, whereas the V here is really discreet. Ideal for friends of rather big necks. 9.5" radius and 6105 frets for modern playing comfort. The handwound Fat 50's pickups provide the classic pearly, bell-like sound that reminds me again of Mark Knopfler. The previous owner replaced the one-piece white pickguard with a three-piece Green-Guard, which suits the guitar very well. But the original pickguard is included and can be remounted at any time. The guitar is in a very good condition, only the case has a few traces of use.
