For true Strat lovers, there is often nothing better than the clear, pearly sound of an example from the first years of production from 1954 onwards. Masterbuilder Greg Fessler has succeeded in reproducing this feeling with this Heavy Relic Strat just crazy good. Already visually the relicing of the Two-Tone-Sunburst is a bright joy and also the weight of only 3245 grams reminds of the best specimens of this early era. Only in terms of playing comfort Greg deviated from the historical original, because if you are used to today's standards, playing with the "57 Style Soft V" neck profile, the 9.5" neck radius and the 6105 jumbo frets is way more fun. In terms of tone, however, the three Handwound 50s Strat singlecoils deliver exactly the sound you know and love from early Mapleneck Strats. Direct response, tight mids and an extra portion of treble and wireiness characterize these pickups. Of course, you still have enough fullness and substance in the tone for fat blues solos, but the special character of a 55 comes here just wonderful to bear. We can offer you this masterpiece in mint condition.
