If I wasn't already taken, I would have found my life partner with this '54 Stratocaster. What a phenomenal guitar! For its 60th birthday Fender launched this wonderfully reliced '54 Strat in the beautiful color “Sonic Blue” in a limited edition. A perfect reminiscence of the first year the Stratocaster was built! The aging here is in exactly the right places and enchants with the characteristic hairline cracks, quirks and paint abrasion. Grippy “1954 U” neck profile with 6105 frets and a 9.5” radius. This is exactly how I imagine the ideal neck, it feels fantastic in the hand with its silk-matt back and plays really great. For the 60th anniversary specially wound 54 Custom Shop pickups are used. In combination with the resonant, one-piece ash body the sun really rises here: very direct, great attack, smacking, pearly and bell-like. Clean super differentiated and well balanced. The nice thing about it is that the guitar still sounds really fat and resolves very well. If you're looking for the perfect ash Strat for dirty, direct Rock sounds, this is the one for you. The fact that this dream player has been played a lot in recent years is certainly no surprise. However, the Strat is in top condition apart from slight traces of wear on the first frets.
