And on amp, the Fat 50s show their full potential: fantastic bell tone, round and pearly, but still defined and natural with the typical attack of a maple neck Strat. What's really great, moreover, is the built-in S-1 pressure switch, which greatly increases the variety of tonal options by allowing additional pickup wiring configurations (in series, parallel, out-of-phase). Together with its perfect weight of just 3245 grams, 10/56 V-neck profile, 9.5'' radius and proven 6105 frets we have here a really strong player that has been enjoyed and played a lot. And you can see it in this Stratocaster's face. Originally born as a flawless NOS model it received a variety of playing marks over the years: minor dings and scratches, abrasion on the back where it made contact with the player's body and of course the inevitable belt buckle scratches. In contrast, however, the frets show minimal signs of play and guarantee numerous more years of phenomenal playing pleasure.
