After we liked the last two Duo-Tone Strats already extraordinarily well, we are very pleased to be able to offer you another great specimen from this series. Duo-Tone means that the body of the guitar is made of two types of wood. On this 50s Strat in Two-Tone Sunburst, we're dealing with a three-piece body with two outer parts made of alder and a middle one made of ash. Of course, it's impossible to say exactly how much of the sound is due to the different woods. However, this Strat certainly plays in the upper league in terms of sound. Already dry you notice the great resonance , and at the amp you get thanks to the Abigail Ybarra Handwound Fat 50s singlecoils exactly the crispy-percussive and at the same time bell-like sound that you want from a 50s-Maple-Neck-Strat. Add to that above-average sustain, and this guitar is just plain fun from the first note. The neck is more on the beefy side, but plays flawlessly with its 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. The frets have minimal playwear, but they don't negatively affect the playability. In addition, one buckle of the case is broken. Otherwise, the guitar is in top condition. Our tip for all who are looking for a Strat with outstanding price-performance ratio!
