As is well known hardtails offer very characteristic advantages in that they are lighter than tremolo Strats and also offer an extra portion of sustain, attack and tone thanks to the direct connection between the bridge and body. This results in an incredible fullness of sound that is rarely found. This is also the case with this hardtail by masterbuilder Todd Krause, which comes across as fabulously resonant, woody and snappy. The "Fat 50's" pickups deliver a great sound: the very best bell-tone, round and pearly, but still extremely defined. Earthy and expressive, ideal for the perfect Blues sound. The great overall package is rounded off with a 7.25" radius, soft "10/56 V" neck profile and Vintage style frets with "hidden fret slots". This is the very best playability! Masterbuilder Todd Krause, who has repeatedly been responsible for Eric Clapton's instruments during his career, took his cue from classic models here: an elegant finish in the most beautiful British Racing Green with subtle, super authentic relicing. The white pickguard and the attractive AAA flame maple neck are a perfect match. Phenomenally beautiful! It goes without saying that this lightweight killer player (only 3040 grams!) has been played with great pleasure over the last 14 years, as can be seen from minimal signs of wear on the guitar and first frets. In addition, a corner of the pickguard had to be glued, a potentiometer knob had to be replaced and the pickups were temporarily switched. The original pickups have now been reinstalled, but of course the solder joints have been touched. Otherwise, the guitar is in top condition. So, if you can live with these minimal shortcomings, you will get a wonderfully swung-in, extremely attractive Masterbuilt at an absolute bargain price!
