Here we have a very special treat: 1995 Fender Stratocaster Moto Pearloid! ...and who now thinks that this would be a collaboration between Fender and Motorola is definitely wrong. Rather, the name Moto stands for "Mother of Toilet Seat," a humorous reference to the pearloid toilet lids that were extremely popular in American bathrooms in the 1950s. In 1995 the Fender Custom Shop, under the aegis of John Page and John Cruz, decided to pay respect to this popular mid-century phenomenon with a limited edition set of 250, consisting of a Stratocaster, a Blues Deluxe amp and a matching white pearl-look flight case. Unfortunately this plan did not work out as only 150 pieces could be produced due to material shortages. Besides the special pearloid appearance another wow factor is the beautiful guitar neck made of birdseye maple. The neck profile here turns out relatively flat, which ensures the best playing comfort. But also sound-wise this Stratocaster does not have to hide: balanced resonance, played clean pleasantly snappy and belly, with distortion rough and not too harsh. Unfortunately we can only offer you this guitar with matching flightcase but without the original amp. Since this small shortcoming is reflected in the price we are happy to present you this bargain in top condition with only minimal play marks on the frets. The tremolo of the "Moto" was replaced by the previous owner, but the original tremolo is included and can be adjusted by us according to your wishes.
Including certificate, accessories, cable, cleaning cloth, strap, orginal tremolo
