Only for a short time there was the Nocaster, whose nickname comes from the missing Telecaster logo and which was the predecessor of the Fender Telecaster. Ron Thorn has created a fantastic reissue of it with this 1951 Nocaster Relic, which he built especially for the American dealer Wildwood Guitars: lightweight ash body, Twisted-Tele pickups hand-wound especially for Wildwood Guitars, an authentic Nocaster U-neck profile with 10'' radius and 6105-Narrow/Tall frets. At first glance, we're looking at a pristine, untouched Ron Thorn Masterbuilt Tele. However, it won't stay that way for long! The guitar comes from the "Relic Ready" series, which Fender created for Wildwood Guitars. Here, the guitars are painted with the same razor-thin nitro finish as those that come shortly after for heavy relicing. Because it's thinner, it's also more susceptible to scratches and playing marks, which was Fender's way of responding to the desire of many customers to leave their own quirks instead of a prefinished aging. Here it happens in much less time than on a normally painted NOS Strat. Normal home use should be enough for this guitar to look like it's been played for decades after a few years.Great player characteristics thanks to an extremely comfortable playing neck combine here with the beloved sound you want to hear from a Nocaster/Telecaster. Great Tele twang, tangy with ample mids, never shrill or garish. Dynamic and transparent. As this noble Nocaster with Blackguard is a special production for Wildwood, it has a special rarity and collector's value, which is why we are even more pleased to be able to offer you this guitar from 2021 in absolutely mint condition without any play marks on the frets.
