In order to avoid further disputes with Gretsch over the naming rights to the “Broadcaster” Fender removed this model name from the headstock, which consequently only bore the company name. It was only later that a new name was found for this model, “Telecaster”, which is probably familiar to every guitarist today. The “nameless” guitars only came onto the market between February and September 1951 and were later given the name “Nocaster”. The fact that the Fender Custom Shop produces replicas of these guitars today has nothing to do with the missing model name, but rather with the fact that the Nocaster has a significantly thicker neck compared to the 52 Telecaster. This is also the case with this magnificent piece with a super authentically reliced finish in the rare special color “Faded Candy Tangerine”, which was issued as part of a strictly limited special series for the 20th anniversary of the production of relic guitars. With the “Nocaster U” neck profile not only a stronger neck was used here, but actually the “mother of all necks”. With a neck thickness of one inch at the first fret you already have a lot of wood in your hand and can enjoy the guitar's above-average vibration behavior. And once you get used to it you won't want to pick up anything else, as this neck combined with the modern 9.5'' fingerboard radius, the great Medium frets and an ideal weight of 3170 grams is simply first-class to play. In addition, the Nocaster is equipped with two “Handwound Fat 51” pickups, which offer everything you can expect from a good Tele, from the typical wiry twang sound at the bridge to the warm, pearly sound at the neck. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer you this exclusive Anniversary Nocaster, of which there only exist 95 specimens worldwide, in top condition.

  • Including original case, certificate, strap, case candy
  • Weight: 3170 grams
