The 60 humbucker offers a lot of performance with a balance of reinforced mids, rich bass and singing highs. This pickup has tightly wound coils, similar to a mini humbucker, and impresses with rich harmonic overtones and above-average sustain. Due to its ceramic magnets the EMG 60 has a fantastic treble response and plenty of output power, ideal for pronounced solos. The 81 is one of the most popular EMGs and comes with a pronounced high end and great sustain, so you can cut through even the densest mix. Furthermore, the look of the Truckster is based on Hetfield's own instrument design with a multi-layer, matte finish, mahogany body with maple top, mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 Extra-Jumbo frets. These play excellently in combination with the not too strong medium neck profile, which wonderfully rounds off the super positive overall impression of the Hetfield signature.
