All instruments in the “ESP Original Series” are handmade by the world-famous luthiers in the ESP Custom Shop in Japan. Hereby the Eclipse is one of the most popular guitars. It takes the traditional single cutaway body shape and reinterprets it for modern music styles. It features a set-neck construction with a mahogany body and maple top, coupled with a Honduran mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard finished with ESP flag inlays. The carefully selected components of the ESP Eclipse Custom include a graphite nut, ESP strap locks, Gotoh locking tuners, a TonePros locking bridge and a Gotoh tailpiece. The sound is driven by a pair of EMG JH “Het Set” active pickups, named after Metallica guitarist James Hetfield of course, which offer the clarity and punch of a passive pickup along with a crisp attack and clean low end. And this gloss beauty with “Blue Liquid Metal” finish will certainly not be forgotten by anyone who has ever seen it! This special look will definitely be the eye-catcher of any stage.
