Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the 1960s Les Paul Standard, Gibson launches a 60th Anniversary model. This model is available in 3 neck variations, with the designations V1, V2 and V3. The V1 profile is the chunkiest of the three profiles and corresponds to a medium 59 profile. The V2 profile corresponds to the transition profile between medium 59 and the flat Slim Taper and with the V3 profile we have the flat Slim Taper profile. And here we have the V2 profile. Optimal for all who think that the 58 and 59 profiles are too thick and the really flat Slim Tapers like the Joe Walsh or Jimmy Page are too flat. Visually simply a banger with the beautiful burst and the wide and wildly barred top. The Unpotted Alnico III pickups are very direct with a fast response and the typical smacking, open sound you expect from such a guitar. We already had several guitars from this 60th Anniversary Series and each of them was 100% convincing. What Gibson delivers here is simply great. Dream Paula in mint condition.
