The idea of this limited edition Strat series from 2012 was to combine alder and ash in one guitar. The center block of the guitar is ash and the wings are alder. We've had several of these Duo Tone Strats and each one has been sonically awesome. Whether it's really due to the wood combination I don't know, but definitely we have a Strat here that plays in the sonic upper league. Great response, bell-like and with nice overtones. Sounds like a really well-rehearsed vintage Strat with its handwound Abigail Ybarra Pickups. The neck has a slightly beefier 50s profile with a really soft V and plays great with the 9.5" radius and the tried and true 6105 frets. The Fiesta Red is very authentic and with the very subtle relicing this Strat has a timeless, classic look. Top player in top condition!
