This guitar was built for the Namm Show 2005 in a limited edition. Like most Fender Esquire's it has the additional cut-out for a neck pickup under the pickguard. The previous owner had it converted to a 2 PU Tele with an additional Staufer Tele Neck Pickup, which complements the bridge pickup perfectly. The original pickguard and condenser are included and so the guitar can be restored to its original condition at any time. At the bridge it is pure twang without appearing thin or shrill. And the neck pickup is pure blues with a very pleasant warmth and the typical bell sound. Medium profile neck with new frets, 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. The guitar was bought at a charity auction by the well-known artist Willy Astor and was signed by him on the back of the headstock. I especially like the look of this guitar. The Shoreline Gold is very well hit and the discreet relicing is very authentic.
