Gibson ES-335 Sunburst "Prototype" (1989)
This ES 335 in Sunburst from 1989 is in incredible condition. Almost as good as new except for minimal wear. A special feature of this guitar is also the "Prototype" stamp on the back of the headstock. Guitars with this stamp were built for artists or employees and were not officially sold. These guitars were special and so is this one. It is also one of the first ES that came with the original Gibson "Bill Lawrence" pickups. Fantastic sound with vintage character. Very "melodic" and well balanced. The neck profile is rather flat, but not yet an extremely flat slim taper profile. With the almost mint condition frets, it plays great. All in all, a Top ES-335 that is very convincing, especially in terms of sound.
