Only 200 specimens of this exclusive McCarty were produced and only a few found their way to Germany. We are therefore extremely pleased to be able to offer you this PRS Robben Ford Limited today. The specs of this guitar have been carefully selected to ensure maximum playability and a voluminous, clear and sensitive tone. 22 frets, 25” scale and a fingerboard made of African blackwood, Vintage Style tuners and the proven PRS stoptail, an extremely thin nitro finish in classic, elegant gloss black and as a special treat the front of the headstock has been handsigned by Paul Reed Smith and the cover of the electronics compartment by Robben Ford. However, the most remarkable features of this model are certainly the signature pickups and the modified control layout. These pickups were meticulously adjusted throughout the development process and are equipped with a single volume and tone control, a 3-way pickup selector switch and a mini toggle switch for coil splitting. The bridge is ideal for a differentiated Rock board and fantastic for lead sounds, the neck is always beautifully differentiated with no mud and in the intermediate position the combination of the two pickups produces wonderful clean sounds. It is also possible to split the two humbuckers into singlecoils to create classic Strat sounds. With Robben Ford pure tone is traditionally always in the foreground! Whether Blues, Jazz or Heavy Rock, with these pickups you feel at home in all styles of music. So the only question that remains to be answered is whether this is a coveted collector's guitar or a fantastic musical instrument. The PRS Robben Ford, which is based on the fundamental McCarty concept, certainly fulfills both requirements and comes to its future owner in mint condition except for the minimal signs of use that are unavoidable with a black high-gloss finish.
