Gibson Les Paul 1959 Paul Kossoff – these words immediately bring to mind songs like “All Right Now” and “Fire and Water”, the wonderful music of the band Free, whose guitarist was Paul Kossoff until 1972. In 2012 the Gibson Custom Shop released an exact replica of his guitar, limited to 100 specimens, as a tribute to the larger-than-life Rock and Blues guitarist who died in 1976. We are delighted to be able to offer you serial number 77, which is an absolute treat both visually and in terms of sound. Mr. Murphy has really outdone himself when it comes to aging. Incredibly beautiful and extremely authentic! Every detail of Paul Kossoff's '59 Standard has been faithfully reproduced here. And in terms of sound, this instrument is simply a reference Paula. You really have the feeling of holding a Les Paul in your hands that has been played intensively for 50 years. Somehow Gibson has had a very lucky hand with the Kossoffs in terms of pickups anyway, because every Kossoff we've had the pleasure of offering so far has sounded amazing. Very open, incredibly resonant and super dynamic. And this Kossoff Aged is particularly convincing: from clean to distorted to high-gain it offers a great sound spectrum and an absolute top tone. Of course the 100 units of this series have long been sold out and are hard to come by. The guitar is in top condition except for minimal traces of use on the first three frets.
