This Les Paul R8 VOS in great "Bourbon Burst" is not only a visual treat, it also sounds great. This plain top makes it easy to understand why a phenomenal look doesn't always require a pronounced wood grain. Beautiful color gradient and a super authentic VOS finish that provides a great vintage patina. The neck profile here is nothing like a '58 baseball bat, but rather feels like a somewhat stronger '59 Medium profile. It sits perfectly in the hand and can be played perfectly in all positions. Gibson Custombuckers with their beautiful, airy and open sound are installed. The guitar, which is already very loud and resonant when played dry, gets a perfect blend of crispness, pearly highs and warmth from these old PAF-style pickups. And with distortion things really take off: smacking, fat and roasting, there really is nothing left to be desired!
