The CC12s were sold out shortly after their release and have now almost completely disappeared from the scene. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer you serial number 141 of this Goldtop, which was produced in a strictly limited edition of 300 specimens. It is the exact replica of the 57 Goldtop of Henry Juszkiewicz, the former managing director of Gibson. Like all Collectors Choice guitars it is characterized by true-to-original aging, top workmanship and the best vibration characteristics. When played dry it is already very loud and vibrates phenomenally. Plugged into an amp it is truly fascinating how precisely Gibson has captured the typical 57 Goldtop sound with the two Custombuckers. Direct, fast and lively with exactly the right mids and highs for a decent Rock board and wonderfully differentiated basses. But it is also completely convincing with quieter, slightly distorted Blues sounds. The medium to strong neck with the rounded shoulders guarantees in combination with an ideal weight of just 3940 grams optimal, fatigue-free playing pleasure and the deep, dark rosewood fingerboard is wonderful to whizz over. All in all, a beautiful, soundmighty top player with the best value retention, which we can offer you including the frets in top condition. As a special treat the previous owner upgraded the poti knobs to "Art of Aging", but the original ones are of course included.
