This Telecaster is probably one of the rarest guitars we have ever had on offer. It is a replica of Keith Richards' "Sonny", which was made in an edition of just four specimens by masterbuilder Mark Kendrick. One of these four guitars is in the personal possession of Keith Richards. And of course all of the characteristic specs of the original have been meticulously recreated here, starting with the fantastic finish in "3-Tone Sunburst", the elegant cream-colored binding and the gold-plated hardware. Hardly surprising that the aging here is also super authentic. To perfectly complete the overall picture the Tele comes without a low E string and in true-to-original open tuning (the missing saddle is of course included in the scope of delivery). But that's not enough! Of course the pleasant medium neck profile of the original was adopted 1:1 and the sound of the special custom pickups exudes pure "Rolling Stones" vibes with every note. "Street Fighting Man", "Honky Tonk Women" and "Brown Sugar", ...Keef in his best style! From the direct, punchy bridge sound with super attack to his characteristic sounds in the intermediate position to the super bluesy neck humbucker. This Telecaster really leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound. And apart from minimal signs of wear it comes to its future owner in top condition. We are pleased that you don't have to decide whether you are dealing with an irreplaceable collector's item, a perfect work of art or an absolute top player. This instrument simply combines everything that makes a guitar a strict "must have". You definitely shouldn't miss this treat! ...and here's a little video of the master himself with his beloved "Sonny": Keef playing Sonny
