Fender Telecaster 52 Heavy Relic Masterbuilt Dale Wilson (2020)

We are delighted to be able to offer you an incredibly authentic '52 Telecaster from masterbuilder legend Dale Wilson. It comes with a wonderful Heavy Relic finish in classic "Butterscotch Blonde", which impresses across the board with its extraordinary authenticity. At first glance you really think you have a real old one in your hands. Great color, abrasion in the right places, minor and especially major flaws and countless hairline cracks adorn the guitar's surface. Matching this is the by no means subtle aging of the Blackguard, which gave these guitars their nickname a long time ago. This look quickly makes it clear why the current waiting time for a new Wilson is now more than 10(!) years and why Dale is currently not accepting any new orders. This masterbuilder is a real relicing specialist and creates the most exclusive instruments like no other. But it doesn't stop with the look here: Dale has also come up with something special for the pickup configuration and obviously wanted to bring a little fire into play. A "Handwound Texas Special" on the neck, which comes across as really fat, differentiated and super bell-like, a dream both clean and distorted! And a slightly hotter wound "Handwound Empire Red Hot" in the bridge position, which is beautifully open, direct, wiry and convincing with sufficient mids and always remains round and never too sharp. Super open and resonant sound with a great attack. A power in terms of sound! And here, too, you can enjoy a four-way switch that allows the neck and bridge pickups to be switched both in parallel and in series. Of course it is not surprising that the playability is first-class thanks to a dream weight of just 2960 grams, the proven "60 Style Oval C" neck profile, 9.5'' fingerboard radius and the excellent Narrow/Tall frets. It's no wonder that the guitar has been played a lot in recent years. This can be seen on the one hand in the minor play marks on the first four frets and on the other hand in its above-average vibration behavior. Besides that the Tele is in top condition, comes with all the case candies and will definitely put a grin on the face of its future owner as soon as he picks up this delicacy.
