With this Fender 1961 Stratocaster Hardtail in beautiful “Faded Aged Sonic Blue” the Fender Custom Shop presents an extremely authentic replica based on the model of an extremely rare hardtail Strat with custom color and fixed bridge. The guitar, which has only a subtle Journeyman aging, certainly comes in historically correct construction with a sorted alder body, bolt-on maple neck and a round laminated rosewood fingerboard, while three "Handwound 60/63" singlecoils provide excellent sounds. And of course this extremely resonant Strat offers the characteristic advantages of a hardtail, being lighter than most tremolo Strats at just 3160 grams and achieving an extra portion of sustain, attack and tone thanks to the direct connection between bridge and body. The “Handwound 60/63” pickups sound like real vintage pickups, bell-like, round, very balanced and slightly compressed (including RWRP noise suppression). When distorted the bridge is a real treat for the ears, wonderfully fat and smacking with lots of sustain and great overtones. This Stratocaster is perfect for hard Blues Rock riffs or clean Funk licks! The pleasantly slim and rounded “'60 Style Oval C” neck profile of the attractive curly maple neck combined with a 9.5'' fingerboard radius, the popular Narrow/Tall frets and the ideal weight ensures optimum playing characteristics. We are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic complete package with a great look, excellent playability and maximum sound quality in mint condition.
