Fantastic color gradient with smaller and larger dings, significant paint wear in the characteristic areas and countless hairline cracks. You can immediately see the absolute focus on detail that Jason Smith is known for. This gem comes with the very finest aging. Uniquely authentic look with the maple fingerboard and ash body boasting a phenomenal vintage patina that gives the impression that this guitar has been on the road for years. But this dream Strat not only looks good, it also swings really well. Of course this also has to do with the stronger neck and its grippy Large-C profile, which in combination with a 9.5" radius and the Narrow/Tall frets really plays like a dream. The sound, which is already very good when played dry, is perfectly transmitted to the amp by the "Handwound Fat 50's". Brilliant, clear, with a lot of twang, but still without harsh highs and with enough belly - just as you would imagine from a 50s Masterbuilt! And with this Stratocaster, the aficionado gets two more treats in addition to the usual case candies: the cover plate for the back of the body and an accompanying photo have been personally signed by Jason Smith himself.
